Grease Management Program

Grease management review is required for all food service establishments planned in the Johnson County Unified Wastewater Districts (JCUWD). Establishments located in areas not in JCUWD must check with their city for their requirements for grease management.

If you are looking for a new location, we have a list of closed establishments within the Johnson County Unified Wastewater Districts service area with grease interceptors currently installed.  Please contact Phyllis Farmer at 913-715-6915.

What Happens...

...when grease, fats, and oils are poured down the drain?

They stick to the sewer pipe walls causing a sticky, scummy buildup that impedes the flow of wastewater through the system.
