Industrial Compliance
In Johnson County

Industries are subject to federal categorical standards, specific to categories of industry such as metal finishing, as well as prohibited discharge standards which apply to all industrial wastewater and are primarily established at the county level. The Program’s legal authority is carried out through the Johnson County Code of Sewer Use, 2003 Edition. Currently, the Pollution Control Division permits 33 industries.
