Update on Recent Activities at APAC-Reno

November 2007
  1. No odor complaints received by KDHE, JCED or APAC-Reno. No detectable readings of hydrogen sulfide on the monitors.
     
  2. An estimated 1,944,000 cubic feet of landfill gas was removed and treated in October.
     
  3. An estimated 2,947,298 gallons of contact water (water that has seeped through the landfill and accumulated underneath the landfill) and well water were removed and treated in November.
     
  4. A public hearing was held by KDHE in November on the proposed permit modification request.
