Update on Recent Activities at APAC-Reno

December 2006
  1. No odor complaints received by APAC, Johnson County or KDHE.

  2. No detectable readings at the ambient air monitors.

  3. The Operations and Maintenance Plan is being revised to address system shutdown and monitoring for maintenance purposes. The Plan will be forwarded to Johnson County Environmental and KDHE.

  4. An estimated 2,008,800 cubic feet of landfill gas was removed and treated in December.

  5. An estimated 601,000 gallons of contact (water that has seeped through the landfill and accumulated underneath the landfill) water was removed and treated in December.

  6. The landfill wells were sampled in December 2006 and split samples were collected for KDHE. Water levels were also measured.
