Update on Recent Activities at APAC-Reno

August 2009

  1. An estimated cubic feet of landfill gas removed and treated.

  2. An estimated 1,262,034 gallons of contact water (water that has seeped through the landfill and accumulated underneath the landfill) and well water were removed and treated.

  3. The serial port hub on the telemetry system was showing signs of wear so it was replaced and reprogrammed at the end of the month. The north and east monitors each showed a flat pump battery early in the month so two loaner monitors were obtained and the north and east monitors were sent in for body replacement and calibration. The loaner monitors will be used temporarily when a perimeter monitor is sent in for body replacement.
