Solid Waste Management Plan

By state statute, K.S.A. 65-3405 requires the development of county solid waste management plans, annual reviews of these plans, and public hearings on the plans at least every five years. Johnson County’s Solid Waste Management Plan (Plan) was completely revised and formally adopted by the BOCC on December 13, 2007. The Plan outlines an aggressive and detailed implementation schedule for the next 5 years to achieve numerous targeted strategies and measures.  The Plan will continue with annual reviews and  hold public input during the process.
