JCED inspects swimming pools and spas in the following cities:
- Leawood
- Lenexa
- Merriam
- Mission
- Olathe
- Prairie Village
- Roeland Park
- Shawnee
- Spring Hill
- Stilwell
- Westwood
There are areas of Johnson County that have not adopted
the Environmental Sanitary Code. JCED does not have authority to
inspect the swimming facilities located in these areas and enforce the
Code. If your city is not listed above, JCED does not inspect your
pools. Contact your city government for more information.
Pool and spa inspection takes place year-round.
