Swimming Pool Inspection

The purpose of the swimming pool inspection program is to protect, promote, and preserve the public health, safety and general welfare by providing for the establishment and enforcement of minimum standards for safety, cleanliness, and general sanitation for all swimming pools, spa pools, and public bathing places now in existence or hereafter constructed or developed, and to provide for inspection and licensing of all such facilities.

The Environmental Department has increased swimming pool permit and license fees as part of other changes to the Johnson County Environmental Sanitary Code. For more information, click on 2004 Environmental Sanitary Code in the table on the right.
